Hello world . Shout out for making this platform available. Immediately thinking of recruiting some of you to help us solve the South African electricity crisis with your data science skills. Now it doesn’t matter if you in South Africa or not , you would be aware of what a power cut is , we have ”loadsheding” so it’s a planned power cut , so for a certain amount of time during the day the electricity goes off for a set period of time depending which stage the loadsheding is on raging between 1-6, many might disagree but it’s also geographically plotted . My name is Leyshun Le Roux and Shivani Rajagaupaul is my partner . So why sell solar panels and batteries ? Simply put “sustainability” , fossil fuels are hazardous in the ground already so burning old dinosaur fossils isn’t going to last, if it does it won’t be affordable , it would cost the government less but that means it will make them less so this is a key point, we need governmental support they have the capital for hydrogen plants but money is making everyone act selfishly, now I’m aware that a team was shut down after proving that a hospital can function on solar power alone . This team has been denied access to the grid and this is why personally I’d want to avoid the government unless we agree to build what we need in our country.
